Totalitarianism hiding behind the scenes

Reminding people of their past traditional dreams,

People speak of the times where life was golden

But back then democracy was worth upholding,

But now the police are there to protect the elite

And the rich get wealthier from government policies,

And our freedoms are being curtailed as well as our liberty,

There are those raking n wealth while people are living on the streets,

There’s enough money for the wars of course

But not enough for health care of any sort,

But the rich they have private health plans anyway

So why would they care about this social decay,

And you can’t protest against this because protest is banned

And the voting systems are rigged which was part of the plan,

Voter registration cards and changing boundaries

Designed to keep the corrupt in power and the poor on their knees,

And so much is being done to hamper us from being free

Attacking our civil rights is happening daily,

And all the time they laugh at us as they continue with their greed,

Living in their ivory mansions from money robbed from you and me.
