The American dream and the British way
Is all well and good if you ignore the decay,
For it only applies to the rich who do ok
But for those in poverty the ideologies have failed,
The side walks are not as quoted golden paved
They are home for rough sleepers trying to find a way,
To survive and get by each and every day
Because in broken corrupt systems it’s depraved,
There are opportunities for all who seize them
Rather they are limited by old school tie ethics,
And masonic handshakes and establishment connections
Which is witnessed during all laws and elections,
That favour the rich and damn those who struggle daily who are in need.
