Those who once ruled crucified Jesus for speaking the truth

What makes you think today’s leaders will not do the same to you,

Jesus tried to bring about change so challenged authority

Those who ruled would not contemplate this so acted brutally,

This they did back then and in this age they’d do it once again

But maybe Jesus’s message was that the authorities and their systems must finally end.
