How not to respond to terrorism

The IRA carried out terror attacks in England

But we didn’t bomb the whole of Northern Ireland,

The Basque terrorists caused problems in Spain

But even Franco never bombed on mass, the Basque region,

Terror attacks can happen anywhere when people believe they are being oppressed,

Right or wrong you just cannot bomb carte blanche where innocent people live

You simply can’t kill with impunity, anyone or put them at risk,

The US and UK did this in Iraq and Afghanistan before and after the twin tower attacks

Killing many innocents who were not complicit in this,

How do you think terrorists are created? It’s from killing people who are innocent

And giving them a reason to feel that they can, retaliate against it,

Remember ‘an eye or an eye leaves the whole world blind’ words spoken by Gandhi as a gift

We need to build a better world, one a whole lot better than this.
