Child trafficking is an unacceptable wrong
And has been perpetrated for far too long,
Predators exist in the halls of government
And in the realms of those controlling what goes on,
Trafficking requires money, power and networks
Intricate and covert and a part of the system,
With access to knowledge of vulnerable children
And once they snatch a child there’s no catching them,
Because these predators can move them on quick
Because despite being in my opinion sick,
They tend to be efficient at minimising risks
At being caught because here is the twist,
Their networks involve power and money
It’s not run by ordinary people living in your streets,
It is run and organised by people we never meet
The rich and the connected who are roaming free,
And they prey on our children globally and constantly,
They may use sick predators within our society
To snatch them and move them quite quickly,
But once that’s achieved they’ll never be found
Once in the networks of trafficking undergrounds,
Where they are moved and transported through cities and towns
In many different countries being traded in dollars, yen, euros and pounds,
By those connected through power, money as these crimes go down,
Using, government and religious predator links
These children will simply disappear and sink,
Into the depravity of trafficking on the brink
Of life and death or a new unknown existence,
Traffickers come from all faiths, colour and nations
They are sickness within our world’s populations,
But unless we identify the powerful and rich predators profiting at the top
Then the trafficking of children is never going to stop.
