To do and dare

My defining days are here

In my advancing years,

News that could cause tears

Now my future is not so clear,

Awaiting for the end game name

With no regrets, blame or shame,

Always judged but not judgemental

All aspects of life are existential,

Living a long life is preferential

But choices like that are not our own,

All our days are so unknown,

So make sure each day you’re growing,

Open yourself to absorb everything

But be aware of risks that brings,

Do no harm to yourself or others

Surround yourself with family and lovers,

Who all care and who are all willing to share

And even when absent are always there,

Because life is defined by those who do and dare.
