It’s not that deep

I want the whole world to feel cared for

Is it too much for everyone to feel loved,

To feel equal and invested in society

I want everyone to understand we’re different,

And that being different and diverse is good

We surely don’t want to become a herd of robots,

All liking and doing the same as everyone we meet

This is how some who control life would have it,

Slaves and servants to them and obeyant

They don’t want free, creative individuals,

They want fodder for the workhouses

And they want targets for their guns,

To grind out production and wealth for them

And they want us to fight and die in futile wars,

To ensure their arms production lines keep running

Making obscene wealth from their fake war games,

Well I want people to wake up to this and change

But it doesn’t matter what I want in reality,

You all have to want it too, to desire better,

As a humanity and to define mankind better,

To leave a better place after we are gone

Because real or illusory truth or a lie,

How we live and act when we’re gone is defined,

By those who we love, whether it matters or not

Leaving a positive mark will ultimately say a lot.

  2. Well said my friend. I personally believe there is a lot of apathy in our world today. However if I am right and that continues things that need to happen to keep our world from becoming a healthier world will not. People need to look, take a serious look, at the world around us in the craziness that is going on. Most of us live in concrete worlds, void of trees, which, by the way just may be more intelligent than we are as they have a network underground, a type of fungus, where they communicate with one another. You can look it up anyone who reads this, it’s true. Within that network, they use it to take care of one another. Are we worried about taking care of one another. Out of sight out of mind. The poorest countries in the world get the least attention. When there are wars as long as they’re not here at home and we’re not affected or kept up from bombing at night how much do we really care? Maybe people need to be asking themselves that. I appreciate you writing about the your truth. After all, we all have to have our own truth and live by that truth as much as possible. So thank you my friend.
