You sell your soul to corporations
And give your time, graft and labor,
You sweated blood as you toiled
But in the end your endeavours were foiled,
To keep those who sit in charge of you
In wealth and receive no gratitude,
Just a minimum wage packet
That barely covers your, rent, bills and food,
Only to find they mismanaged and screwed
The company finances which are now askew,
And you find out that you’ll bare the cost
When you realise your jobs are then lost,
And they take huge severances
And ride off into the glorious rich sunset,
Leaving you broke and unemployed
And there’s no money left for you,
And they wonder why you’re annoyed
But they don’t care and just disappear,
Into the luxury they built a world away from this
And finally you get the joke that they take the piss,
And you were too blinded by loyalty to them to see it.
