It’s a struggle but it shouldn’t be

These days don’t always seem to get better,

Screaming in my head gets louder until I reach my final tether,

Echoes of past regrets reverberate in my mind

Not everything gets erased over a period of time,

Grey buildings, sad faces everywhere I go I see

And we’re told to carry on and don’t give up on belief,

It comes to a thing when death seems like a relief

We’re working our way up a hill that is just too steep,

And I cannot understand why life assails us like this

But I get that we accept it so what else can we do,

Except for saying no to it any fucking more

Change it up and reject this life, there’s a better one in store,

When you embrace dissent and subversiveness

Turn your back on the system and show it no interest,

After all it doesn’t care for you and that is no surprise

And realise that you were raised upon tissues of lies,

And the only way to free yourself is to see through the disguise

That those who are ruling your life, cause ruination from the moment of your birth until you die.

  1. Or, you could just STFD and have a cup of hot tea and some cinnamon toast….
