I am a corporate slave
I’ve wasted life away,
Working to the clock
Every single day,
Clocking in and out
Working my fingers to the bone,
Giving my all for very little in return
Businesses show so little concern,
As long as they get their pound of flesh
That’s all they truly care about,
I am dispensable and easily replaced
So why do I keep doing it,
Living the life of a slave
Simply to feed my family
And to keep the wolf, from the door.
