Paranoid by what you read
As fear resonates from your screen,
On your TV and mobile phone
There’s no escape, you feel so alone,
All the drama, horror and death
Dragging you down into the depths
Of despair and of latent terror,
Is there any hope you cry out there
And why has mankind made such errors,
To take the wrong road from love and caring
Towards corpses sitting idle and staring,
Wide eyed on battlefields and in their homes
Within our societies we lack any safe zones,
And the government doesn’t actually care
Because it paralyses you more so you don’t dare,
Give them a reason to not protect you
Even though it’s them who leave you exposed,
To all the terror and the stress and fear
Because it keeps you quiet and in your place,
And so distracted by what they are doing
Like acting so corrupt that you don’t see
That they’re striving to leave our lives in ruin.
