Living and loving those with drug addiction

Watching drug addiction in the people you love,

It is a very hard place to be

Watching as they hurt themselves,

And feeling you can’t help them

And that sense of helplessness,

Really does a stressful job on you

It’s like they are self harming,

But they can’t seem to see it

And they refuse to face this,

It’s as if they know but they won’t face the truth,

Leaving us feeling impotent and knowing not what to do.

    Hey Faux, It really is a battle – seeing someone you love hurting themselves in such a way and feeling helpless and as you say “impotent” because there’s nothing we can do to stop it. It’s so painful but we do the best we can xx
