I grew up as an anarcho-punk warning about fascists,

We shouted and we screamed and sang songs of such forebodings,

And how they’d target the vulnerable and the undereducated,

While selling dreams of patriotism rather than authoritarianism,

And were we listened to? Did anyone take heed?

No they fucking didn’t because people were to obsessed with greed,

Buying houses, buying cars from corporate suited fascists,

Who wanted to plunge you in debt because it’s easier to control

People when they’re in debt and fear they may lose all,

Then they send you to fight wars without a fucking cause

As anarcho-punks we fought war not wars and stood for love and peace of course,

This is an Anathema to those of fascist dictator beliefs

And now sadly you’re seeing the truth as citizens are killed upon the streets,

By Gestapo, Nazi, masked militarised force who prey upon the weak,

And if we do not stop fascism then our lives will sadly get worse

Because it is an ideology that breeds violence death and hurt.
