Women have a right to love and to feel empowered
Not to be put in a cage and feel crowded,
They have the right to expression and care
Not oppression, degradation and a sense men won’t share,
They shouldn’t need to fear masculinity
From the incells that our society breeds,
Rooted and borne out of insecurity
And I don’t claim to be an expert in women’s needs,
Tenderness doesn’t go amiss and security from a life of bliss
Where they don’t have to fear walking out on the streets,
Worried by the sounds of following feet
And they have the right to equality,
They are often better than men, but men can’t see
Because men are afraid of femininity,
That also resides within the heart of me
And why should men not listen to them
Or take them seriously because in the end,
They cause less war and hatred it’s true
And don’t just love a woman so she can be your mother,
Because she wants an authentic lover,
Give her space and room to fly so she can be free and wild.
