Courage does not come naturally

It has to be summoned from within,

It rides on the back of anxiety and fear

For even in courageous acts you see,

It’s as if in that moment you can’t breath,

And only after, when the adrenaline rush

Fades away and and is no longer enough,

To hide the other emotions that were resent to

Will you actually realise what you chose to do,

And that’s when the truth and shakes hit you.
