To good to last

It could have been good

But the odds were against us,

Both struggling to survive

We found a haven in the storm,

We coalesced with emotions

Resonated with a love,

That we knew could never last long

We were vulnerable not strong,

Yet somewhere in the morning dew

We saw the sun breaking through,

And for a moment we were hopeful

But we were actually doomed in truth,

But still even now I think about you

And still I remember how it felt,

As we burned with a fire so ferocious

That we knew it would if would be snuffed out,

Because of to much energy

And far to much passion,

No one can sustain this for to long

So we both drifted away broken hearted,

But I guess it felt so right it had to be wrong,

So we both lit up a cigarette and then

Faded into nothingness and died,

At least that’s what happens in the movies

But in reality we lost ourselves and cried,

Until we could no longer cry anymore.
