Consumer junk

They sell us shit in various colours

Hoping it in us, it will nourish,

Our desires for a short time

Then the novelty then declines,

So then we go back, looking for more crap

The sort of things nobody really needs,

But in some way it satisfies our greed

To have everything with such an ease,

And all this distracts from what’s important

And so our mind becomes slowly dormant,

To what’s going on out in reality

Because they are being fed with consumerist seeds,

That gets them addicted to want over need.
