Don’t look for politicians

Or corporate types to reduce emissions,

Don’t expect them tho commission

A net zero world if it’s not for profit,

Don’t expect them to clean our water

Or to stop the polluting ways,

Unless it comes with one requirement

And that’s rooted in the words ‘does it pay’

Don’t expect them to stop global warming

For they will ignore all the warnings,

If it doesn’t increase their wealth and greed.
