I sat across from you
Outside a coffee shop
Sipping on a latte
Watching as your hair
So fine blows in the breeze
See your lips as they meet the
The edge of your cup
Like a sweet kiss
I wish it were my lips they meet.
I see your eyes so blue
And full of passion
Your skin of pure satin hue
No blemishes to tarnish
Your perfection.
Class personified
In every way.
You smiles at me
I return it in kind
I wish this woman
of such divine
Would give her heart to me
And that she would be mine.
Instead I return
To my pondering thoughts
And enjoy my latte
Glad that I caught
Your eye enough
for you to smile
It lifted my heart
And I was beguiled.
I love it, especially the last two lines. Beautiful, T.
