Took the kids to soft play
Good times, as they play all day
Jumping, sliding, running, hiding
Adults join in they’re like kids again.
Up the ladders down the slides everyone has the best times
Making friends regardless of colour or creeds
To young to succumb to divisive beliefs.
They just see each other as the same
Just all kids who enjoy soft play.
Oh to be so young again where all that counts is playing games
Like hide and seek and touch and run
The golden days which are so much fun.
Weather can not intrude and spoil
The soft play games where kids toil
End up sweating hair a mess boys ragged
Girls who normally are obsessed
by how they look are now all tangled
All the kids so bedraggled
Will fall asleep in the car home
And dream the dreams of a fun day fun times the best they’ve known.
Another amazing piece
