Tossing, turning
Getting no sleep,
Can’t switch the mind off
Endless chatter repeats.
Laying in the darkness that is my room
Seeing imagery of the night rising into bloom
I can’t seem to sleep.
I see the moon from the window shining in
Feel the forces of night in all their foreboding
As I lay in a sweat within my sheets
I wonder why I can’t get no sleep.
