So forgotten,
Left to decay
Going rotten,
Trickle down people
Living off hope
Forgotten people
Turning to dope.
Given little
Tossed aside,
Going feral
Lives are wild,
Making ends meet
Best they can,
People who don’t
Fit the plan.
Limited in education
Using booze and drugs
As recreation,
Just to shut out
being left
On the side,
They got symptoms
They can’t hide
Depression.
Live in houses hardly fit
For human beings
To exist,
But does society
Care for them,
Obviously not
Or it would
Be sharing.
Media lables
Them as scum,
Living in their
Social slums,
Beats on them
for being dross,
A whole section
Of society lost.
So they say,
Fuck the system
Fuck the cops,
Criminalised
At all cost,
Tossed in prison
For petty crimes
Authority acting blind,
To their social depravity
Forced to bend down
on their knees,
Forced to beg
forced to plead,
For the scraps
From the table
Where we eat.
Trickle down
Existence
Trickle life,
Systemic failure
Of the left and right,
To address
The poverty,
And how it deals
With lost people
In a fractured
Society.
