We eat when we are sad,
We eat when in depreesion,
We eat when we are lonely,
We eat when we are bored,
Piling on the calories
And as we piling them on,
We sit so sedentary
In our rooms at home.
It’s becoming a real problem
In the prosperous western world,
Where obesity has become
Our new disease, a new curse,
While hunger is a problem
In the third world,
This balance is not good
This balance is not fair,
Half the world eat food for need
Is this not absurd,
Because the other half eat out of emotion
Out of simple boredom and greed,
Eating far more than they really ever need.
We need to learn only to eat what we need,
We need to learn to curb our greed,
We need to start doing more
And start burning calories,
Because calories times sedentary equals obesity.
