Mountain crested,
Heart arrested,
Panoramic beauty,
Of an earth refusing to be,
Ruined, exploited,
Landscape pointing,
To our salvation.
Why can’t you see.
The earth will flourish,
After we are gone
Just like it did with the dinosaurs,
Ancient primal,
End times final,
Darkness eternal,
Mother Earth paternal,
Trying hard to save our souls,
But humanity will not be told,
Ignorant and arrogant,
This is humanities stubborn stance
And it will cost them the earth,
As it disappears in the dirt,
Absorbed in the soil,
In a squall and wretched moil,
Of self destruction and ruin,
As a species we don’t know what we are doing.
