Dark night
Fog moves in,
Lonesome sound
Of the fog horn
Chiming,
Out a forlorn plea.
Stay away from
Rocks beneath,
Shipwreck warnings
Sailors lost,
At sea.
Clinging to
The debris,
Ocean waves
Swallow and
Drown them,
Final requiem
To brave men,
Sailors of the sea.
Out in storms
Within its
Teeth,
Fighting for
Survival,
Man versus
Sea,
Man versus
Nature,
In adversity
Man loses
Always to
The mighty
Waves,
It’s unforgiving
Darkness and
Depths,
Lure the Sailors
To their deaths,
In Davey Jones’s
Locker,
That watery
Grave.
