I will break your nose
She said
And he did,
So she duly obliged,
Because unlike him
She was honest and true
And did not feel the need to lie.
Though violence is never the answer
He learnt his lesson well,
And though it did not ease her heartbreak
She had a story to tell,
Anyone else who tried the same,
She had drawn a line in the sand
And let every man who wanted to love her
Exactly where she stands.
