Open invitation to heartbreak

She saw him for what he was

Bad for her and a destroyer of love,

Yet she was drawn to him

Like a moth to a flame

And when her heart breaks

She will claim the blame,

For she knew he was a destroyer of hearts,

Knew that he would tear hers apart,

As he had done to others before

But her addiction to him

Created an open door

For him to walk in,

It was an open invitation to begin destroying

Every last vestige of  her being

And every ounce of her self respect,

She knew too well men like him should be left,

No given encouragement to treat women this way,

These men are sad, they are twisted

But most of all these men are depraved.

  1. You really know how to use words. I’m amazed at the way you write with a rhythmic flow.
