Supernatural

There is a movement in the corner

Of a dark and shadowy room,

There is something in the air

I see movements through the gloom,

I sense spectre, I sense witches,

I sense alchemy everywhere,

This night is one of foreboding

So you better take good care.

The room it starts to spin and the lights begin to flash,

The candles start to flicker

And shadowy figures begin to flash,

In and out of vision casting spells within the walls,

I hear the sounds of singing

And it’s a supernatural thrall

And smoke begins to fill the room

And chills shudder down my spine,

As I sense a moment arising

Of bewitchment and by the time,

I get a chance to react I am propelled across the room,

By a spectral poltergeist who offers me no boon

And now I hear the sounds of screaming

And haunting children’s songs,

I feel the sense of heaviness from the supernatural fog

And the chiming now of church bells,

As I Hades open up it’s gates

And beckons me towards it

As this is somehow my fate,

And demonic creatures reach out

Grasping after me

But I shrug off the tortured blistered grips

In an attempt to set myself free,

Then I recite incantations

Of the deities of note,

Summon up the spirits and the holy ghost,

I summon all that’s good

And I spellbound them to the task,

Of sending back these witches and demons

Back into the dark

And command that the gates of Hades to close

For they have no place in this world,

As I hold my faith and belief aloft like a flag unfurled

And soon all the dark starts receeding

Back to whence it came

And I stand here now in this empty room

All alone again,

And as I walk towards the door to leave

I hear a whisper in my ear,

Saying ‘ I am your nemises, I am your very fear’,

Then cold hands grip my shoulders

And break my back in two

And throw me through the window

And now I know the truth,

That once a mark of the demon is placed upon your soul,

There is no escaping death as it lurks, always right behind you.
