Destroying Eden

When the land is barren

And the soil no longer furtile,

We will need to consider

If the exploitation of our Earth

Was actually worthwhile,

When the air is too polluted to breathe,

When the plastic waste dominates the sea,

When chemical, acid rain is all we see

And everything in nature is dead,

Nothing green and there are no trees,

Then we can stand back and admire

Our masterpiece,

Show how we destroyed this paradise

This divine Eden,

Into something wrong polluted and seething,

A place not fit for living, eating or breathing,

Is this really something you believe in

The corruption and destruction of our world,

By those whose only live for greed.
