I don’t need someone to to tell me how to live,

I don’t need someone telling me how to love,

I don’t need to be told anything

But what I do like is sharing experiences.

So don’t tell me what to say or do,

I ask, just who the hell are you,

Set yourself up as a master or guru,

Act like your superior and that only you know the truth.

I don’t need someone telling me, how to spend my time,

I don’t need someone telling me, how to spend my money,

I don’t need someone telling me, how to think,

I am quite capable of doing all of this

And if I happen to fail at least it’s on my terms

And if my life don’t turn out great then I will learn

And it seems like I got it all wrong,

Then the experience will make me strong.

I don’t need to be told at all,

Like I know nothing

And that I am not in control of my life,

Go on live life your way

And leave me to do the same,

I won’t be told to live your way,

I am on my own path so get out of my way

And let me live it each day

In my own unique way.
