I feel the shadows of life

Creeping up trying to hide the light

But I won’t fear these shadows

Because I don’t fear the night,

For keeping hold of faith in me

Enables a strong belief that I can see this through,

That I can understand the truth

That the light will come from the love in you

And it will cast away the night not bring about doom or gloom,

Because the strength that I feel within

Will keep my heart and soul light brimming,

Over so that it is spilling over into everything

Making my whole being sing,

A song that gives me a braver insight

So that it pushes back the shadows and night.
