Life’s not always about the beauty, the light and the love,
Sometimes you have too look at what should disturb us most,
For in the duality of life you have too balance all this stuff,
Experience and see all sides
Both hatred, violence, peace and love
And I see it as a mission to learn lessons from it all,
For seeing only the one side is like seeing nothing at all
And although it may upset our sensibilities and inner peace,
If you don’t involve yourself in both sides then you’re fast asleep,
To every aspect of this life for which we are here to learn,
I open myself up to everything even if it burns
And makes my eyes flow with tears
And my heart wrench,
As it disturbs my mind every single bit
But I’d rather it was this way then go through this life blind,
I’d prefer to experience all of life while learning all the time.
