Love needs to be real

You can’t buy or manufacture love

You can’t create a feeling that doesn’t exist,

You may thinking you kidding everyone

But you can’t kid yourself

And it will eat away at you and your mental health

You’ll end up feeling cold and lonely in every way

Continuing with this love charade,

If it isn’t in your heart then it just isn’t real,

You will lack any emotional appeal

And the ugliness of this will be revealed

Not matter all the material games you play

Throwing money around like its something great

But it doesn’t keep your heart from being cold and grey

And those who have the most love to give

Will always see through this

Warm beautiful heart that radiates light

Will never be alone on a cold dark night.

  1. Beautiful poem, but could not agree to the last two lines. Not all warm hearts can give away the love, there are people who don’t find people to give them to.
