Corridors of the mind

Traversing narrow corridors

Dimly lit with flickering neons

I trying to defend myself like an interferon

Holding back and withstanding

A host of virus like enemies

Swarming down this corridor

Like a host of contagious diseases

Each one of them assailing me

Each one of them prevailing me

All of them trailing after me

And it’s my belief as far as I can see

That if I stand strong and refuse to be

Destroyed by these things that I have seen

Darkness and evil coming after me

But with my consciousness belief

Maybe through regenerative dreams

I can grow beyond these things

And survive beyond all these meanings

Hitherto unknown that from my mind

That are universally created and sown.
