Seeking progress is never easy
Find an agent, find an editor
Find someone who wants to publish
The words I write but that hope is distant
But I don’t give up the faith.
In the same way people say
Find a teacher, find a practice
Find a way to become enlightened
The chances of this are very distant
But I won’t give up the faith.
I seek these things without grasping or attachment
Some say maybe that’s why I fail
But may its also true to say
That when the time is ready if that maybe
That these things will come my way
And I will find brighter days
But happy I am still despite these hard times
But my faith will never fail.
