The saddest aspect of my life

is that I never got to see you smile

never saw your twinkling eyes

no chance to say goodbye

my baby girl.

You were taken as you were born

and now my heart it is for ever torn

and the saddest thing of all

is i never got to spend any time with you

my baby girl.

Now in solitude I often sit

and I spend time thinking on this

imagining the light in your eyes

while tears fall gently from mine

my baby girl.

I will not let this pain subside

for this feeling that’s inside

I all I have left now of you

my baby girl.
