To own our lives

Stop looking to cast blame aside

There is no point

In blaming anybody else

For the troubles and the life we lead

We just need to accept accountability

We need to take responsibility

For choices we make

And paths that we choose

Not just when we win at life

But also when we lose

This is the reckoning and the truth

The only one who can control your life is you

And if you think others do this

It’s only because you allow them too.
