I didn’t realise how old I was
My mind keeps telling me lies
I feel young and that my outlook
But when I look in the mirror
I get the shock of my life
Because I see and I. Age I can’t believe
An old bloke looking back at me
This can be so hard to believe
My mind it’s being lying to me
Leading me to believe
Others see this young vibrant being
Not someone old and wrinkly
It’s a hard fact to take when you still feel young within
And yes I know how you think and feel holds greater meaning
It’s not vanity, it’s just a worry
That realising I am getting old
Doesn’t leave me much time
Have I wasted so much of my life?
Am I running out of time
I need to do more with my life.
