I got a new job
It’s thrown me a curve ball
It’s left me reeling
Devoid of creative thought
And creative time
I have only one thing on my mind
Ensuring I learn how to do this job
So I do not run the risk of it being lost
But it’s messed me up just a bit
I need to find my way. To discover and release
My creative juices one again
Or I am likely to go insane.
New jobs are tough. I like to give myself 3 months before I panic. Or in my last one, it took about a YEAR to learn what I really needed to know. Be kind to yourself and know that new things take time. You’ll get it done.
Happens to us all. Though once you get the hang of your new job, you will get your creativity rushing back – as if it never left. Best of luck to you!
