My boat set sail on these halcyon days
But I knew tempests were not far away,
The silhouette of you wavering my goodbye
Was burned in to my mind and in brain
And the stiff breeze carried me
The bright stars they guided me,
To a place that were pure mythology
But adventures beckoned me,
Ignorance taunted me
I needed to know more about this life.
The mysteries unknown to me
I knew were far away
And leaving you behind it broke my heart
But I knew that I could never really be content
Without discovering what made me want to know
That’s the reason I had to set sail and go
Far away from where my love
To places unknown
And the stiff breeze carried me
The bright stars they guided me
To a place that were pure mythology
But adventures beckoned me
Ignorance taunted me
I needed to know more about this life.
