Meeting a Titan at the River Styx

I knelt by the river, the river called Styx

And beheld the Titan Goddess

She stared at me quizzically

Why she wondered was I here?

I was here at the mouth of the underworld

To discover the nature of the beast

And to find out if is truly as we see

Or is it a certain aspect inside you and me

That if we don’t pay attention can seep out

Causing us to despair and shout loud

For the demonic possession to leave us be

Is it evil incarnate as we believe and see in our dreams

Or is it simply a flaw in our personality

The Titan Goddess nodded thoughtfully

Saying you know the answer for you are awakening

There is no evil on earth or universally

So it must be genetic flaw in our genes

That causes us to do wickedness unconsciously

When we stop our thinking because we get lazily

Into a state of complacency

A theory in which I am inclined to believe

So I bid her farewell and continued my journey

Into my own self discovery

To find out how and what was a true awakening

Which turned out to be my unique conscious reality.
