Angel of the night

Taking a starlit flight,

Under a crescent moon

Above the verdant tree tops,

I sit and stare at you

Wings of pure white feathers

Clothed in gold and leather,

And the magic in all you do

Keeps my mind and eyes fixed on you,

As you dive, glide and swoop

Leaving trails of filigree

And incandescent sparkles

Rippling across the night sky

I sit and watch you fly

Putting on a display for me

You are so beautiful

And so heavenly

I am glad you chose to meet me
