Blind to your suffering

I was blind

Blind to your hurt

Blind to your pain

I became so numb

That it got in the way

So I didn’t see

The pain you were in

You needed love as the remedy

But I was blind

And you became invisible

And that was not acceptable

So please forgive me

We had our own stuff

That was going on

But being blind to your suffering

Well that was just plain wrong

Now I hope it’s not too late

To repair things again

I will make you the centre

Of my world today

I will heal and soothe you

And give you all my love

Tell me what you need

If this is not enough

Let’s rebuild what we had

It was always so good

I will never be blind to you again

And that’s the honest truth.
