I forgot to be me

And I failed.
Replied the imagined muse, to the shepherd poet:
“It’s me who’s been the fool, the joked upon, the tool.
All I thought was real was just an emptiness.
I can live, but not as me, not in your world, you see.
With you I can but only perfect be. And in your world you are the only judge. The judged-upon is me.”

It’s funny, earlier yesterday I followed your account again (sometimes I temporarily unfollow blogs either by klutzy mis-click if using my itty-bitty phone screen 🙄, and/or because I’m an emotional wimp when it comes to certain kinds of content, at certain moments in my life 🙃🙈😔); then, coincidentally, your next batch of poems suddenly seemed so sad and/or angry… Truly hope you are ok. 😥
