Work controls and dictates my life
Gets in the way of my need to write
Working for the money just to survive
It’s not how I wish to live my life
But changing this is not that easy
Yet I keep on believing
False hope maybe I don’t really care
I have s dream that I am willing to share
However the system keeps us in a servile state
My dream may happen but far too late
But I continue on, regardless of this
I feel that work takes more than it gives
Leaves me aching tired and stressed
Villas get higher, wage is worth less
So it’s important to find new ways
To try and get through everyday
And writing does this for me
Allows me to relax and feel at peace and free.
