Time and time again
I always see the same ,
The propagation of mankinds shame
As love is lost again,
In the brutality of life
That do many justify,
Though denied their basic rights
Too many people die,
Where has the love gone?
Where is our humanity,
Where has the love gone?
We lost it in our insanity,
Young children suffering,
From the loss of their family,
Ripped apart from them,
Through war or political means,
We lock people in cages
I doubt they were born bad,
It was how they were brought up
And the truth is mighty sad,
Where has the love gone?
Where is our humanity,
Where has the love gone?
We lost it in our insanity,
I shed a tear,
I am choked,
At every death I see and hear,
I grieve for humankind
That has to live in fear,
I wish that we could change this
So we no longer have to shed a tear,
But many choose to live this way
Because they enjoy the drama it appears,
Or is it they’ve never known peace
Or realise how much better it is,
Where has the love gone?
Let’s get it back, right back here,
And instill it in our hearts,
Let’s restore our humanity,
And choose to be kind as a start
Let’s rediscover the love.
I hope we choose love over everything.

More judging, and lack of compassion, and lack of vision for the beauty that is everywhere if we choose to see it. Your poem is the epitomy of irony. As is this comment. You attract what you put out there, as does this comment. Bring it. I am so so so tired. Just slay it.
