Some people hold on to the history of slavery
As if it is some proud moment in time
But the truth of it is it was the vilest of crimes
And to hold on to it in any way would be holding us in shame
The Germans don’t hold on the Nazi crimes the same
It’s wrong to believe that honouring these slave traders
Is anything but disgusting obscene
Those pages in our history book are a fucking nightmare not a dream.
