I work so hard it effects my health

I strive to achieve a modicum of wealth,

But I ask you what is more important?

I have to remind myself of this often

I work so hard just to pay the bills,

Just to keep my head above water

Drowning in debt I feel I am suffocating,

I remind myself to stop spending

Stop trying to buy myself some happiness,

It’s temporary and and not it’s certainly not real

True happiness is found in doing good,

Happiness is in sharing love

With material stuff you can never get enough,

It’s just like an addiction

Care for yourself and care more for your health,

Or you’ll end up with a life of suffering

And any amount of wealth you accumulate,

It’s not going to ease it or take it away

So take care of yourself more day by day.
