I am a product of dystopian living
Brought up in a society taking and never giving
But in my zippy bondage trousers and my spiky hair
I never lost sight how vital it is to care
No matter what colour I dyed my hair
I always remembered how important it was to share
And while governments came and went
I ensured that I kept my love for all intense
As I lost my mind in delight at gigs
I never lost sight of what it was to live.

Great poem. We do live in a society that is all about grabbing what you can and never giving back. I love your last line. We must not lose sight of what it means to truly live.
