Government for the people
Installed by the people
To give us what we want
What a fucking joke this is
They just do what they wish
They govern for their own benefits
To enrich the friends and date their greed
The don’t give a fuck what people want
And if you look hard then you will see and then believe.
I love your poetry but I honestly don’t believe all people in the government are like this. It’s a crappy job but someone has to do it, and some of the ones that chose to do it really do it because they care so much about people. I know because I have operated on my kids’ schools’ “governments” before. I was asked to and I didn’t want to, but ultimately I did it anyway, to fight for the kids’ rights and benefits on various issues that were problematic. I think many of the quieter folks in government must also act for selfless reasons.
Thanks very much for reading, I am sure there are those who are passionate about doing it for the good of all and trying to make a difference but are drowned out and downtrodden by career politicians who are wealthy and merely there to satisfy lobbyists and corporations. Cynical yes, but it’s what I believe my friend. 💟🙏 Faux
